reoccuring yeast infectionsI used to have irritating and reoccuring yeast infections!

Finding a cure for reoccuring yeast infection wasn’t easy. It took me years of trying and failing to sort it out. Let me explain…

One of the problems with my marriage was that these reoccuring yeast infections completely reduced my sex drive. When the itch started or when the cheesy, fishy smelling discharge was happening, the last thing I felt like doing was getting intimate with my husband (or anybody).

These problems started well before that though:-

Reoccuring yeast infections in my younger years

As a teenager I had one or two occasions where I had to take antibiotics. Although these cured my other problems I sensed immediately that I will soon feel the itch again. The first time, I never realized what was happening because I was quite inexperienced. I was concerned that I had picked up a venereal disease . But, like an ostrich, I stuck my head in the sand and it went away after a couple of weeks. I dropped that boyfriend at once though.

But recurring yeast infections are just that. They come back. With the next load of antibiotics I put two and two together and spoke to my doctor. He reassured me that anything major was wrong with me and prescribed a topical cream which seemed to work. Then, a year later – just about two days into my period – the itchiness was back.

The cream did its work but I was not happy about it all. By that time I had started reading about Candida and Vaginitis, I realized I had reoccuring yeast infections. And it was affecting my love life. During these episodes no one was getting any, and I became extremely moody. But it’s not all about sex…I just didn’t feel attractive.

These problems continued off and on…I tried pro-biotic yoghurt, garlic, and tea tree oil, wearing only cotton panties, never douching, showering immediately after swimming and changing out of my swimsuit – you name it – I tried everything under the sun plus the full range of over-the-counter remedies. But I still had reoccuring yeast infections two or three times a year.

During pregnancy it was even worse. My poor husband really had to put up with a moody and unresponsive life. It is a wonder that he put up with it twice more.

My breakthrough in curing reoccuring yeast infections

The long and short of this story is a happy ending. Only recently I found Linda’s “Yeast Infections No More” guide online.

It turned out that my lifestyle was very largely to blame for it. Although most of the time I’m fairly healthy, I have a propensity for sweet things and chocolate. That.. and a couple of other items in my regular diet meant that I secreted sugar rich moisture. Yeast thrives on sugar and in the moist and warm places ‘down there’ it had found its Eden.

Since I followed the advice in the book, the recurrence seemed to have stopped.  Since I started, I haven’t had any problems and am maintaining a happy relationship.

Don’t waste your time treating just the symptoms – go to the root cause straight away. If you are suffering from reoccuring yeast infections, be inspired by my journey!

recurring yeast infectionsWarning! Don’t trust unreliable sources with recurring yeast infections!

The eBook “Yeast Infections No More” tackles recurring yeast infections from a holistic angle. I know that most women get a yeast infection at some stage, I had them too. This painful and irritating syndrome is not a disease but is an indication that something is wrong with your body. Yeast, already present, flourishes when something within your system gets out of sync with itself and an excess of moisture is conducive to growth. Recurring yeast infections often indicate that your lifestyle is at fault.

A new way to cure recurring yeast infections

Yeast Infections No More” tackles this problem. The author, Linda Allen is a nutritionist and has done over 35,000 hours of research into this problem (that is nearly 20 years work at a 50 hour week). The reason she did all this study is that she had severe recurrent yeast infections herself. She states in the book that the common cures that are offered by the medical fraternity or drug stores as over-the-counter remedies for vaginal candida treat the symptoms and not the causes.

This Linda’s book has been selling in the number one spot in this niche for a long time and instead of just treating symptoms actually offers a cure for an excessive yeast bloom. If you want to get rid of this problem forever then get the e-book and be prepared to follow all the advice. Linda Allen says that recurring yeast infections (vaginal candida) if treated topically is likely to re-occur, however, she suggests that a long-term cure is achievable for recurring yeast infections.

It is filled with charts and illustrations to help you determine the best treatments and lifestyle changes for yourself. If you are not prepared to change your lifestyle and diet then you are likely to go on having recurring yeast infections. But, if you do change your diet and eat the foods that she suggests once you have read the information and understand which foods are toxic to you, then a cure is in sight.

These foods may differ from person to person so. Just because your friend who is also a yeast infection sufferer finds that a diet of beans and baloney is good for her, does not mean you will have the same dietary needs. For you it might be red meat and broccoli. Once you have changed the diet and lifestyle, the treatment will cure you and the symptoms will disappear forever.

One of the things I like most is that Linda provides recipes for making up topical organic ointments that will give you relief from vaginitis within a twelve hour period. These alone are worth the price. So, buying the eBook “Yeast Infections No More” will be one of the best investments that you can make.

recurrent yeast infectionsRecurrent yeast infections are the PITS! What to do about them?

Recurrent yeast infections can be very frustrating. The pH or acidity changes in the vagina around the time of your period can contribute to the growth of yeast, so this is not an unusual event. But they should be able to be stopped for good. Instead for some women they come back time after time and surface as untreated yeast infection. The blame for these recurrent yeast infections is often laid at the door of allergies, to something like soap or deodorant, contraceptives or any underwear that is not made of natural fiber.

The truth is that these may be irritants but the real causes go much deeper, as I will discuss later.

Diabetes sufferers and those with lowered immune systems are likely sufferers of recurrent yeast infections. The excess of sugar is exactly what yeast thrives on, and moisture in the vagina is an ideal place for it to bloom. Antibiotics similarly enhance the likelihood of candidal vaginitis.

Other cause of recurrent yeast infections are caused by a change in the vagina’s ph when the normal balance is upset and an alien yeast strain overcomes the regular one. It is said that those with multiple sexual partners, recent changes in a sexual partner, in female partners, all could upset the balance. Douches and spermicides too may lead to an imbalance in the body which feeds the yeast cycle. These symptoms, although mild, are irritating and can become chronic. A chronic case of candida vaginitis is definitely to be avoided.

How do you know it’s a yeast condition? Well small fissures developing are a giveaway, but discharges that are white and cheesy with a faintly fishy odor are most likely to be from a yeast condition but, if they persist, have them medically checked as there is a small chance that there is another cause.

What to do about recurrent yeast infections?

There are many natural foods and remedies that can be tried:

Probiotic yogurt. This is renowned for enhancing the beneficial bacteria in your system and combating any changes that could lead to a yeast bloom. Worth trying and really cannot do any harm, but not always effective in solving recurrent yeast infections.

Tea Tree Oil. Use on skin as described in the health shops where purchased. As above, may work but there are no guarantees.

Crushed fresh garlic. May be ingested and may also be used on skin. If used on skin, it may burn a bit initially.

And so on. There are many, all with similar riders. They may or may not work with your yeast condition as we are all different. As with the diet, there are do’s and don’ts in your daily life like “Don’t wash your intimate areas with soap” “Don’t use fragrant tampons” “Only wear cotton panties”.

Addressing the cause not the symptoms of recurrent yeast infections

Yes, indeed, much of this may be factual but all of it is addressing a symptom and not the cause of the problem.

You can address the causes of candida and stop this condition forever. Thousands have and are cured. Yes, that is right, they no longer have recurrent yeast infections.

untreated yeast infectionsDon’t gamble with an untreated yeast infection

An untreated yeast infection can result in long term problems. No one likes to get a yeast condition. But aside from the uncomfortable symptoms you experience, there are more serious dangers that may arise from an untreated yeast infection. So, while most yeast infections usually clear up on their own, it may be wiser to be cautious and seek a complete cure.

The accepted wisdom is that yeast conditions are not serious and if left alone will clear up naturally. This may be so for most cases but in some the dangers are more severe. Besides suffering the discomfort of an ongoing itchiness and possible cheesy-like discharge, why take the risk of an untreated yeast infection getting worse and resulting in complications?

It’s hard to cure untreated yeast infection

Sadly, a yeast condition will usually NOT get better on its own. The itching and burning associated with yeast infections in the vagina or on the skin may increase, or the patchy areas in the mouth may become larger. Reoccuring yeast infections do not cause infertility or scarring. You should, still, get a yeast infection treated directly if you are pregnant or are trying to become pregnant, because it can prevent pregnancy from happening. Untreated yeast infections, as well being uncomfortable or unsightly, can also weaken your natural immunity. As the body tries to fight off the condition, it may be compromised if you are exposed to any other harmful germs or bacteria.

Cases of untreated yeast infection pose many risks. Typically, the discomfort that happens during a specific point in a women’s menstrual cycle, in most instances, is considered mild and can simply be controlled through over the counter medicine or topical treatment. If left unattended they can “set in” and will reoccur with every period.

Men too can have a yeast condition. Usually, it presents as a moistness on the peritoneum and is accompanied by itchiness and a slight odor. Most men are unaware of the condition which, apparently, usually clears up on its own. In many cases sufferers of diabetes are prone to this problem. In any event, an untreated yeast infection in a man can lead to prostate problems later in life.

Severe cases of untreated yeast infection

If the yeast condition becomes severe, then sepsis may occur. This is deadly, and one has to be very careful of untreated yeast infections if the condition keeps deteriorating. A further possible condition is vaginitis; which may occur if more than 2 types of yeast bloom in the vagina within a year. If either of these is a possibility, attention is strongly recommended. Milder infections called thrush often occur in young children or in some cases adults with lowered immune system. These can lead to a condition that makes eating and swallowing difficult and painful. De-hydration may result.

The good news is that all of these things are unnecessary. Vaginal candida, yeast conditions, thrush etc. can be easily and naturally cured using a holistic treatment. No longer will untreated yeast infection plague you, so you can be cured completely!
